What a wonderful day!! You were born at 4:21 p.m. Daddy, Josh, Ashley S., Ashley H., Bradley, Cheyanna, Kaitlyn, Aunt Jennifer, and Grandma were there to greet you into this world! You didn't really scream; you kind of fussed and squeaked while you laid on my chest for about 10-15 min. I fell in love with you instantly!! I couldn't believe you made into this world safely! Later on though you threw quite the fit when you got your first bath! You didnt want to nurse much on you first day here. The nurse would strip you, tickle your feet, rub your back, but you just wanted to sleep. So the nurse checked your blood sugar 2 x, the 1st time it was 78 and the 2nd time it was 68. The funny thing was that you slept thru the pokes to your heels! |

You pretty much slept your way thru the day!! You nursed, pooed, and slept. The dog came up sniffed you and ran off! We think she is scared of you because every time we put you near her she runs away! Who could imagine that a 95 lb dog would be afraid of a 7 1/2 lb baby! |

I woulld like to think that mommy got your first smile; you looked like you gave me quite the grin when you were in the hospital the 2nd time. We know that you definately gave Bubba a really good grin...he was talking to you and you were looking very intently at him and then you gave him a grin, on the day you came back home from the hospital(11/23). It was so cute!! |

You finally started growing!! At 2 weeks old, you weighed 7 lbs 15 oz, and your length was 20 in.. When you came home from the hospital at 2 days old you weighed 7 lb 6 oz and when you came home from the hospital on the 22nd you were almost 7lb 8 oz. I have to bring you back in 2 weeks to makesure you are continuing to grow. |

| YOUR 1 MONTH BIRTHDAY |

A big 1 month old! At 3 weeks and 2 days you weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and were 21 in. long. You coo and smile. You are starting to roll from your side to your tummy when you sleeo with mommy. You are a big mommy's girl...as soon as I leave, you wake up; You cry for everyone else who holds you. Ashley S. thinks you don't like her! You prefer to be held most of the time..everytime I put you down you wake up. You are now more alert in the evening than in the morning like you used to be. You look around at your environment We are still working on getting you to take a bottle and a mimi. Your eyes are still blue, and you still have your small amount of hair on your head. |

| My First Christmas |

What a day! Lexi woke up and we waited for the kids to get up. We went to the cemetary for her big brother's 2nd Christmas in heaven and guess what? Santa was there and everyone recieved presents. Then we went back home and everyone opened presents. About 2 in the afternoon we went to Jennifer's mom's house. Lexi did nothing but eat and sleep. Everyone held her anyways. Her brother Bradley got pied in the face..it was hilarious! |

On Dec. 30th, you were so cute!! I was kissing your sweet little cheeks and you stated laughing. I thought you were fussing at first but when i lookedat you face you were smiling. So I did it again and once again you laughed! You just melted my heart so! |

| MY BABY DEDICATION |

What a wonderful way to celebrate your 2 month b-day...getting dedicated to our Maker. Nate, Kara and you were dedicated to the Lord on Jan 13th, 2007, at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was so happy and thankful that I cried! The Lord has been soo good to us and has blessed me with all of my kids and I promise to raise them to love Him and raise them in a Christian home. |

| MY 2 MONTH CHECKUP |

Jan.16th was your 2 month checkup. You were 11 lbs 14 oz, and 22 1/4 in long. You now are awake more often... about 1 hour in the morning, 1/2 hour in the afternoon, and most of the evening untill 9:00. You love to coo, smile and even laugh occasionally. I am still your favorite person, Kay Kay is your 2nd favorite. You calm down for her and even fall asleep on her. You still prefer to be held most of the time, if I put you down you will wake up about 15 min. later. You have an amazing sense of my presence. If I try to leave with daddy or Josh, you will wake up and cry as soon as I leave the driveway. You love it when I sing to you, you go to sleep almost everytime. You still have some fine brown hair on your head..just a little bit less, and your eyes are still blue. You havent quite figured out your hands yet, but I still kiss them and your cute liitle feet. |

| Your 4 Month Checkup |

You are growing so fast!! At your checkup you were 15 lb. 1 oz. and 25 in. long. You are getting more social... you smlie at everyone now and even let your daddy take care of you. When mommy was in the hospital (2-20 thru 3-3) you got to stay with me so you could still nurse, and you let your big sister Ashley take care of you. You became more attached to your daddy, you even let him fed you bottles. You now love your hands, and love to snuggle with blankies. You are just beginning to play with toys, can roll from tummy to back and when you go to your tummy you still have 1 arm stuck and you cry until one of us picks you up. We are still trying to teach you to self soothe yourself to sleep with a binky, you now fight sleep more than ever! Daddy and I got you a new toy...an exersaucer with a bouncing traying that you can jump on. You absolutely love it! Your eyes are still blue and you have lost most of your hair. The new hair that is growing in appears to be light brown but we'll see as it grows more. We have also introduced food to you. You have been drooling and watching us eat so we thought we would try sweet potatoes mixed with rice. You seemed to like it. |

| Your 6 month Checkup |

At your 6 mo checkup you were 17 lbs 7 oz and 26 in long. Your eyes are still blue and your hair appears to be blond, of course. you love to bounce when you are standing, sit upright very well, and you are now trying to go from a sitting position to your tummy. You are a huge fan of food..any thing that is edible, you want...none of us can eat without you looking at us and begging for it! You are also a little talker...first it was lalala; now it is dadada. you still sleep with mommy and daddy...I have tried to put you in the crib...you wont go for it..I think you are a permanent attachment to my hip, lol. When you are sleepy it is either my hip or the car that puts you to sleep. You also got you first sunburn at Ashley's high school game even though you were in the shade the whole time, just a liitle pink on your shoulders and upper back. You love to watch your siblings play...IK think you get the biggest kick out of Kara and Nate... you seem to laugh at them the most, besides Madison...our new St. Bernard puppy (4 mo.) that you laugh at every time she comes up and licks you. But one of mommy's favorite things about you is your cuddles and kissies, you are such a sweet baby girl! |

You have changed so much over the last couple of months! You wont really crawl, just kind of army crawl, I dont think you like our hard floors too well,; you love to stand along side the couch or by your mama. You like to eat food, but you still prefer to nurse over anything...I cant even get you to take a bottle. you have been saying"dadada" for some time and just a few days ago you were schooching towards me saying "mama", my heart just melted and even daddy notice it. you are starting to pull your self up on things. You have also ddeveloped quite the high pitched scream when you mad. You still have to be carried around often, so mommy bought a Mobywrap so my arm doesnt fall asleep anymore...you love it!!I finally gave up giving you baths...you take showers with my because you scream everytime you get a bath. The odd thing is you LOVE the swimming pool.....you kick your legs, dip your face, boucne up and down with your cute little vocals"ahahah" going at the same time. I think your favorite sibling is Kara...you seem to think everything she does is funny6, you also love the dog, you laugh evrytime she licks you. |

You took your 1st steps around 9 mos. old. you walked from the couch, 2 steps to me. I figured you would be like the rest...walk from there on. But not you, you took you sweet time...you were okay with crawling and being carried around. Right after your 1st birthday, you just decided to walk everywhere....it was so cute, you looked at us with a big huge 2 toothy grin like "look at me, arent you proud of me?" |

Wow!! You made it to your 1st birthday! You are a barely walking, talking, grinning mommy's girl! Your eyes are hazel, hair is still minimal, but a dark blond in color, you first word was "Jo" for Josh, you love to sing, and be sung to, in fact, you are pretty good at mimicking the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". You are 21 lbs, 28 3/4 in.(they measured you wrong at your 9 mo. checkup). You are still very much a mama's girl, you will tolerate you dad for a little bit without me around, but after a while you will start screamng until I come home and you are back in my arms. Once you are in my arms again, you cling to me and cuddle as if I had better not go anywhere else again! You still sleep with mommy and daddy, and recently started nursing during the night about 2-3 times. Yuor appetite isnt quite like Kara's, you a bit pickier. you love meat, green beans, corn, bananas, but outside of those, you dont eat much of anything else. I try every morning to give you cereal, but most of the time you throw it down after a couple of bites. I think if you had a choice you would nurse for all of your meals. Recently, at 13 mos, you have figured out how to show when you are upset. You either pull hair or pinch/scratch faces. You have also learned to show your jealosy, if anyone sits on my lap, you fuss and try to push them off. You are also learning manners. Everytime you give us something, you say"thank you" itit is so cute! You have also figured out the game of throwing things on the ground and saying"uh oh". You love your sibings, you can even say their names, it is so adorable to listen to you repeat what and how we say words. |

You are a walkin, talkin little being! You love to talk and sing...you sing "twinkle little star", love "patty cake,"" Jesus love me this I know", you imitate words very well....you can say Ja(josh), ra-ra(kara) nah(no), Bubba, hair, eyes, mouth, ears, nose, mama and daddy. But my darling...I am sooo scared of losing you! I had noticed over the weekend that your bruises are becoming more frequent and I took you to the docter today and my suspicians were right...your platlet count is too low, it was only 34,000. Tomorrow you get more bloodwork and then we see the doctor right afterwards. If they tell me that it is something bad I dont know if I can handle this all over again! Losing your brother was sooo hard; I dont think I could handle losing you! You still sleep with mommy...I have gotten your nursing down to nighttime only. Your favorite thing to do (besides give mommy morning kisses) is to give wide open mouth kisses to princess Madison...our gigantic 1 yr old St Bernard. I still need to take a pic of it..it is the cutest thing! When it comes to eating..you are the opposite of Kara...you are a bit pickier. most of the time the food ends up on the floor, or you feed it to the dog. You dont seem to be interested intoys either; you would rather bang things, pull the cats' fur, throw things on the floor and look at me saying"uh oh", or one of your favorite thing..cuddling. Youcuddle everywhere I go...even when I am trying to clean the kids' room, you find you way unto my lap. You are very selfish with e too, you try to push your siblings off of me so you can have me to yourself. Well that is enough for today...I hope I dont get bad news tomorrow, Mommy loves you so much!! Update- Feb.5...it was up to 53, 000..hope it keeps going up my princess baby! |

Okay little Miss Lexi...You are really startin to scare mama...Yesterday your platelets were only 28, 000, so next Tuesday you go see a hemotologist...I am hoping it was just a virus that caused this. Meanwhile , I will enjoy singing "Jesus Loves Me" one of your favorite songs...you even hum it with me. You and Kara have gotten closer...she like to run up to you and scream"ouch!" and you absolutely crack up at her. It is so cute! Your newestthing now is to put little thng inside of each other...yu actually have the coordination to to it...you put screws inside the holes where they belong....you took apart a toothbrush holder and put it back together...you are learning so fast. Once again Mama loves you so much! |

So much has happened since I last updated...You were in the hospital for 3 days...yuor platelets dropped to 13,000 the next day and to 9000 upon arrival in the hospital. You were given IVIG and had been fine until may 13th...you sister Kara had hernia surgery so I had you checked....you were 51,000....I really hope your immune systems slows down and leaves your platelets alone...since all of this...we realized our home was the problem and have since moved out. You seem to be so happy...you even like your baths now that Kara takes them with you, although she may not do that for a while...the last 2 times you have taken a bath you left little brown floaties which freaked Kara out! You love to talk...."tickle, tickle, tickle" is your cutest game....along with "gog"(dog), "Ra-Ra"(Kara) , "Na-Na"(Arianna), "Ka Kup"(makeup) for your most said words.You also love to name your face parts, and go thru every family members names about 5 times a day. You are starting to become aware of your potty functions..you take off your diaper, have peed on the floor when time for a bath and have even sat on your potty chair (but have actually used it). Yur hair is still learning to grow but it is slowly coming in...cant quite put it up in a rubber band yet but we should be able to put them cute blond locks up by the time you are 2. You are quite the cuddle bug...still nursing for bedtime, loves it when mommy rocks you, gives lots and lots of kisses and hugs! |

Wow, what a bad mommy not to have updated for so long! You are now 3 yrs old and the cutest thing ever! You have a 5 mo. old baby sister who thinks you are so funny! Reminds me of how good Kara was with you. You love to make Lily laugh, dont like it when she cries..you become very protective and concerned about her (she traumatized you on a Clarinda trip)! You are always asking when she will be as big as you ( or if you are as big as Kara yet).
You are quite the little princess, you will only wear dresses, love dressup,( try to dress Lily with tiaras,), make-up, fingernail polish, what messes you can make!
Your favorite shows right now are Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and Ni Hao Kai-lan. Before you turned 3, you would watch nothing but Barbie movies...your favorite was "Diamond Castle"(where Lily's name came from). when you turned 2 you LOVED Alvin and the Chipmunks(munk munks)!
Your health has improved so much since we moved out of Des Moines...you havent had an ITP episode since Nov '08! Maybe docs were wrong in it being a permanent condition!
You have a new thing you have been doing lately...ask about 500 questions a day...you will ask anything...even those you know the answers to. you are still a very big cuddler, in fact we cant get you to sleep in Kara's room...you want to be with me and Lily.
I had better go..it is 1 a.m., will do more once summer settles in!
